FAQ
-
Will I have to go on a restricted diet?
I prefer to focus on ADDING to your diet versus taking away. If recommended, restriction is temporary with the goal of working towards reintroduction.
-
What is your nutrition philosophy?
My philosophy is to do whatever it takes to help you reach your goals while keeping your longterm health in mind. We are all unique, so I look at each client as an individual, with a unique set of goals, values, and preferences. Depending on the person, I might recommend plant-based or a more animal protein forward style of eating. I can support both vegan and paleo styles.
-
What is functional nutrition?
Functional nutrition is a “food as medicine” approach to healing that integrates the whole person - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Food and lifestyle choices impact energy levels, digestion, metabolism, the immune system, fertility, mood, cognition and physical performance and recovery. As an Integrative and Functional Certified Practitioner, I will evaluate these many interacting factors to identify root causes and develop a plan that works with your unique biology.

Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance. The work we’ll do together extends beyond the 1:1 time we spend in a visit. Rather than focusing on billing codes and minutes, I focus on getting you results.
-
Do you accept payment plans?
Yes, I am happy to work out a fair payment plan with you. Please don’t hesitate to ask!
-
Do you work with children?
I only work with adults, but I am happy to refer you out to another practitioner who specializes in child nutrition.
